I am starting something new on Fridays. I am wanting to expand this tribe I am building through social media and my blog so I wanted to start giving them a shout out. So every Friday I will be doing a feature on another woman (possibly add men in later). This will be a learning process for me so bear with me as I work out the kinks.
For this first Feature Friday, I want to introduce you to the Gabbing Ginger. I’ve especially loved her children’s book review. My boys love reading but we’ve definitely bought some busts in our day so it’s a nice place to go check out her ideas on a few books before I purchased them!
Go check out her social media accounts and give her a follow!
Here is a quick bio, in her words and a few questions I asked her:
I am a young thirty-something with tons of enthusiasm and love for fitness, fashion, sports, reading and being a mom! I am married [to a CPA] with one toddler and two fur babies [one miniature dachshund and one mutt]. I LOVE the beach and will choose warm weather over cold any day! My day job is being a work at home mom for my family’s company.
- What made you want to start blogging?
I wanted a creative outlet.
- What is your favorite book/movie of all time and why did it speak to you so much?
Probably, Goodnight Gorilla. Because my life is a zoo at bedtime when I just want everyone to say goodnight. #momlife
- What did you want to do growing up and are you doing it now?
I wanted to be a mom and now I am one!
- What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done and would you do it again?
Got married in Vegas… which sounds adventurous but let’s be real I am a type A personality… it was planned and we had almost 90 people fly out to attend! The 2nd time around I would do it spur of the moment… with my husband of course!
- Do you consider yourself a feminist?
By definition yes. I support equality of sexes.
- Why or why not?
I am not into protesting or talking much politics online so by the base of the definition I am one but that’s about as far as it goes.
- What was the best phase of your life?
Now, being a mom has been the hardest but most rewarding time in my life.
- What was the worst phase of your life?
Right after my wedding, my mom passed away very unexpectedly and it was a very hard year after that.
