Never Going Back

Today was a gorgeous day in the Bay Area. It was high 70’s and we sat poolside with mimosas and friends; it’s safe to say I never want to go back to Utah when it’s cold. Which leaves June-August. Ahahaha The high in Ogden today was 56. 56 degrees people!!! Mind you, I was a little chilly in the shade in the high 70’s so I’m not the best when it comes to temperature.

I have definitely acclimated to California weather. I don’t know if I could ever be okay with Tyson moving us somewhere cold. It might be fun to visit for a week or so but anything over that is too much for me. I like that we live so close to Tahoe and we can drive up for a weekend getaway in the snow and come right back home to acceptable temperatures.

It has been a ridiculously rainy and wet winter here in the Bay Area but I will take that over snow and cold any day! I even got a cute new pair of Hunter boots for Christmas because I needed something to wear in the rain. I definitely broke those suckers in this winter! Cash even got a pair of rain boots that he loves and wears all the time, even if it’s not raining.

Back to the warm weather; I am not super comfortable with my top half right now so going to the pool in a swimsuit sounds like a freaking nightmare, but that will be all fixed in 3 weeks. Today I was able to wear a loose flowery tank top and look like I fit in at the pool so it all worked out. I am so excited to be able to rock a swimsuit and feel confident in my own skin again. However, Cash is really itching to go to the pool this week and I have the hardest time saying no to him when it really doesn’t do any harm to say yes. So it looks like I will have to get over my insecurities and go to the pool pre-April.

Itty-Bitty-Titty-Committee here I come!

Anyway, I don’t know how I ever survived in Utah all these years. It is too cold for my liking! For all my family and friends that don’t live here, I hope it warms up for you soon. 🙂

P.S. For those of you that don’t know, that photo up top is of Ben Lomond Peak in Ogden, Utah. I got that view every single day and loved it! For all the terrible things Ogden has to offer I do miss the mountains and can’t wait to be back in June. ❤
