Saturday Struggle in Tahoe

I wish I could say this struggle was because I was hungover. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Honestly this it’s not really that big of a struggle. We are here with great friends and we are super excited about the weekend. It’s just more of an inconvenience. A Saturday Inconvenience.

We came to Tahoe for the weekend and we were/are beyond excited to play in the snow with Cash! There’s a good 4 feet of snow here already this season. Cash has never seen that much snow in his life!๐Ÿ˜ƒโ„๏ธโ˜ƒ๏ธโ„๏ธ

The drive took longer than usual and we got here around 1:30 AM but the kids were great!

We got here a few hours before Will so we were left in charge of unlocking the house and turning off the electric wires used to keep the bears out. Will sent great instructions and we were good to go!

But then the lights wouldn’t turn on. We thought maybe we could just flip the breaker. Nope, the power has been out for a bunch of Tahoe residents for a week now! They’ve been working through the nights to try and get it fixed and have warning stations set up for people who’ve lost power.

Thankfully Will’s family has a gas heater and a gas stove. The house is warm and I can cook almost all the food we brought! Plus heat up Tate’s milk, which is a life saver for everyone’s sanity.

We are planning on staying and will just leave earlier on Sunday than we had expected. Which works out for me because the Steelers game is on at 5:20. I mean, we have to stay because we have 3 thirty packs, tequila, and tic tacs to consume. Am I right?โ˜บ

I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods?
